Resurrection Rolls

1 pkg of crescent rolls

marshmallow (not miniature)

1/2c butter, melted

cinnamon sugar (like you'd use on cinnamon toast)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Give each child a crescent roll triangle, representing Jesus' grave clothes.

Then, give each child a marshmallow, representing Jesus.

Have the children dip the marshmallows in melted butter, representing the embalming oils.

Dip the buttered marshmallow in the cinnamon sugar, representing the spices used to anoint Jesus' body.

Wrap the coated marshmallow tightly in the crescent roll, bringing the sides up to seal the marshmallow inside. This represents the wrapping of Jesus' body after death.

Place rolls in the oven for 10-12 minutes. The oven represents the tomb. Pretend three days have passed.

When the rolls have cooled slightly, have the children open their rolls to discover that Jesus is no longer there. He is risen!
